Get Ready for Mo Money Mo Houses… the Podcast!

momoneypodcast

When did June happen? I swear, it was just April a few minutes ago! I know I’ve been posting very little lately for the past few weeks, and I’ve been sliiiiiightly vague about my next-steps for this blog, and you’ve all been very, very patient.

But you’re going to have to be MORE patient because today’s blog post has nothing to do with me and everything to do with the lovely Jessica of Mo Money Mo Houses because today is the official launch of her brand new podcast!

celebrate

I’m an absolute podcast JUNKIE, my favourites include Freakonomics, This American Life, Pop Rocket, Planet Money and Stuff You Missed in History Class just to name a few, but I have to say that the number of personal finance podcasts that speak to me are few and far between. Like, practically zero.

Why I’m so excited about Jessica’s podcast is because she’s tackling personal finance TRULY on a personal level, by talking to people not just about their money and how to save it (don’t GIVE me any of those frugal podcasts, oh lawd), but what they do with it, how they made it, and how real people are doing things like paying off debt or investing for the future.

I’ve already begun listening to the podcast (I’m sneaky, I couldn’t wait!) and with upcoming guests like Bridget from Money After Graduation and Cait Flanders from Blonde on a Budget, you can’t go wrong. (Who knows, maybe I’ll find a way on there someday!)

But honestly, one of my favourite things about the personal finance community is that it’s real people sharing real, sincere stories. From the very first episode of the Mo Money Mo Houses podcast, Jessica opens right up and tells stories that even her long-term readers haven’t heard before, and, I’m not sure why, but I was really impressed with that much realness from the get-go. It’s great for current readers, and even better for newbies to figure out what she’s all about.
