Burts Bees Intense Hydration Line

Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Line

A few months ago I received a sample of Burt’s Bees Sensitive Skin line just in time for the dreaded ALLERGY SEASON! As a girl with sensitive skin and horrid seasonal allergies, it was a great product that now has a spot in my cupboard to help my poor skin through the spring and summer.

Just in time for winter, I’ve received another sample of Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration line, products that are specifically made to help remove dirt, oil and make-up while leaving the skin soft and hydrated. The kit came with a cleanser and a night cream that both smell deliciously of sage. The product is supposed to help my poor dull, sensitive skin shine through the winter and since I’ve had great success with Burt’s Bees products in the past, I hold pretty high expectations going into this trial. We’ll see how I look by the end of it, goodbye scales, hellooo hydration!

Burt's Bees Intense Hydration

Day 1 – The new cleanser is similar in consistency to the Sensitive Skin line but the scent is stronger. I noticed that my skin felt REALLY clean and fresh afterwards and didn’t feel tight or dry after I rinsed it off. The night cream is heavy but when I woke in the morning I noticed my skin was noticeably softer.

Day 2 – I realized that the cleanser isn’t the best at taking off thick foundation or heavy make-up, so I did a quick wipe with my own make-up removal products first and then washed my face. I forgot to do the night cream but it’s so intense that you may not need to use it nightly.

Day 3 – I’m starting to really see a difference in my skin, my pores are smaller, there’s no flakiness or dryness on my chin, and I look very fresh and healthy. Here’s to hoping I have a glow after this!

So far, so good. We’ll see how this lasts throughout the winter! The $12.99 price point of the cleanser is a no-brainer, I will definitely be re-filling my cupboard once I run out, but the Night Cream leaves a little to be desired. It may be worth the price because you need so much less per day, but for $29.99 it is currently not an affordable purchase. (Unless my skin turns out to look super amazing by February, then we’ll see!)
